However, we may sometimes want to remove the patch because we have different views on fashion or adjust the position of the patch for different combinations.

So how do we remove the patch?

Heating or freezing method (for adhesive patches)

Heating method:

The process of removing adhesive by ironing is commonly used at home.

Place a clean cloth over the patch and turn the iron to low temperature! Note: Do not use the steam feature!

1.2 gently press on the area covered by the cloth and continue for about 15-20 seconds until you notice the adhesive on the back of the garment is loose. Once fully loosened, remove the cloth and carefully peel off the tweezers or fingertip patches.

Method of freezing:

Since the adhesive can be removed by heating, we can also remove the adhesive by freezing it.

2.1 place an ice pack or bag filled with ice directly on the patch for approximately 10-15 minutes until the patch is visibly hardened by exposure to cold.

At this point, simply remove the patch gently.

These two methods make it easier to remove motion patches from the fabric without causing damage.

3. Remove stitches (for sewing patches)

3.1 carefully examine the patch area and locate the fixed patch.

3.2 using scissors, gently cut the stitches one by one until the patches are completely off the surface.

When attempting to remove patches, it is important to consider different types of fabrics, as they may require specific techniques for their material characteristics. For example:

Fine fabrics such as silk may require special attention during shedding. The reaction of the adhesive with natural fibers may be different at high temperature.

Due to the uneven surface of fabrics such as corduroy, it is necessary to take extra care when using removal tools to avoid damage to the stitches.
